Today, this isn’t the case, though there are still great reasons why you should. You can buy good cameras anywhere, but nothing beats the service you get at a small camera store. They can help you with digital and film cameras, and you will find that they know you by name, and will be far more interested in your as a customer than a big name chain or department store. If you still like to take film pictures, as many people do, you may have to go to a camera store for special kinds of film. I like to take both digital and film pictures, as I like the look of film but also the convenience of digital. When I feel creative, I want to get special film, and I can’t usually find it in most department stores. I once bought black and white for a concert, but I haven’t found it anywhere but in a camera store as of late. Black and white is possible with digital, but it doesn’t have the look of film. If you want anything other than the regular 35-millimeter film, you may have to find a camera store in your area. You may also find that your camera store is the best place to get repairs, and they may have better developing than places like Wal-Mart. A camera store is the best way to get the personalized service that you crave, but can’t find anywhere else. You may also find things like 8-millimeter film for old film cameras. They may even be able to send your old film out to get transferred to VHS or DVD so you can enjoy your families old home movies without hooking up the old projector. If you can’t locate a camera store in your neighborhood, you may have to go to the next town or city. You can usually find one in a mall, though they may not be fully stocked. This isn’t too big of an issue, however, because they will be glad to order anything you may need. You may find a great camera store online as well. You can’t walk in and browse, but this might be the best place to find hard to find items that you can’t get locally.
